The Wobblie Chair is a website and blog for the Media Studies department at Vancouver Island University. Built on WordPress, faculty members are able to communicate through the website and blog.

Using this website, the Media Studies department at VIU can communicate information between faculty members.

I created this website using WordPress as a CMS with it’s own custom theme, utilizing HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and jQuery. It has widgetized sidebar and footer areas, and allows for custom menus.

Note: This website is not available for public viewing as it is for the department only (hence the lorem ipsum!).

Launched: April 2011

Project Details:

  • Content Management System (WordPress)
  • Custom theme
  • Widget areas & plugin implementation
  • PHP
  • HTML5 & CSS3
  • jQuery
  • Custom graphics (“Wobblie Chair” thanks to Eben Sullivan!)
