Bears Matter’s launch is on March.15th, so it’s coming up quick! We got some great feedback on Tuesday, and Emma moved the blog articles to the front page, and put the description from the front page into an About page. SO, that meant all the articles from the Blog needed to be published to the front. I spent 1hr 20min that night going through a ton of the articles to publish them to the front page. I also made sure they all had proper titles, and unpublished some that still needed images inserted, to make it easier to find them when that is done.
Yesterday and today I spent a total of 3hrs working on the Store page. Yesterday I had to resize the images again because they were too small for the website, and now they look much better. Then I put the images into a folder in Joomla, and I put in all the product images, titles, prices, and descriptions into the Store page. I also edited the Mal’s part of the store, putting in the same background colour and banner as the website. The cart won’t look like the website, but Mal’s does allow a little customization, so that for example, you can put in the same banner as your website.
Today, I got the links working to add products to the shopping cart and view the cart. I also sent Barb a detailed email to get information from her for the shopping cart – such as the payment methods she wants to accept, taxes, shipping, discounts, etc. Once I get that information, I can put it in and get any additional information if needed.
Getting close to the launch!
